The Connecticut Technology Council (CTC)

Is the largest and most broad based business association expressly serving the needs of enterprises involved in areas related to technology, innovation, and the commercialization of the sciences. Representing almost 400 members and a community of some 2,500 companies and several hundred thousand employees, CTC strives to serve its members and the general interests of the State of Connecticut as they relate to the growth and success of technology-based development. The CTC works to address the specific needs of its members and to provide policy and advocacy for its mission in whatever settings are most productive. The following are current CTC programs:

  • Wiggin and Dana Innovation@Work: A “reverse” trade show at which smaller, selected companies are invited to present technology to a large, host company per a prescribed set of technology criteria developed by the host company. The purpose here is to facilitate collaboration, technology sharing and business development.
  • Edwards & Angell FastTrack: FastTrack assists emerging technology companies who promise the potential to rapidly scale into market and financial leadership. For these companies, the program matches its network of investors, advisors and industry contacts with selected companies to assist with their growth.
  • Connecticut Technology Fast 50: A program that annually celebrates those Connecticut technology companies whose five year percentage revenue growth puts them at the top of a prestigious list of the fastest growing tech companies in the state.
  • Connecticut Alliance for Technology: Innovation Fair and Alliance Dinner: This now annual event is the largest full-day gathering where technology professionals embrace innovation, accomplishment and our technology community. The event includes an innovation fair that features young, emerging start-up technology companies.
  • Women of Innovation: The Connecticut Technology Council intends to annually celebrate the state's leading women in technology in a gala dinner event each January. Last year’s inaugural dinner at the Radisson Cromwell, officially called the "2005 Innovation Leadership Circle Awards", drew nearly 400 attendees to this statewide event.
  • The Connecticut Growth Network: A grassroots networking effort to have the state’s technology leaders meet informally and regularly in small groups, called cells, to discuss issues of importance. These meeting are where issues are debated, ideas are shared, problems are solved and deals are made.
  • PowerMatch: An exclusive networking program based on a highly successful professional business networking model developed in Silicon Valley, PowerMatch is a structured event designed to help participants quickly and efficiently network with a maximum number of Council members.
