For a second consecutive year, Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Hartford will have UConn men’s basketball coach Dan Hurley as the keynote speaker at its Help & Hope Breakfast on Friday, Nov. 15.
The event, which will be at the Hartford Golf Club in West Hartford, is the human service agency’s signature fundraising event of the year and proceeds will support its programs and services offered throughout Hartford, New Haven, and Litchfield counties. Businesses, schools, and any other organizations are invited to join the team by sponsoring the event.
“We like to joke that the Huskies’ championship run last year was sparked by Coach Hurley appearing at our fundraiser at the start of the season and we hope it happens again,” Catholic Charities CEO Marek Kukulka said. “But in all seriousness, we are incredibly grateful that Coach Hurley supports our mission. His enthusiasm and inspiring message last year truly made our fundraiser immensely successful and changed the lives for so many people we serve.”
WTNH news anchor Dennis House will be the emcee and handling auctioneer duties will be Conor Geary, the on-field and on-court host at Hartford Yard Goats and UConn games.
The event is 7:30-9 a.m. and includes an auction, breakfast and networking time.
