NEW BRITAIN, CT – [September 4, 2024] – Hospital for Special Care (HFSC) is set to hold a Spinal Cord Injury Exhibition hosted by Dr. Natalie Sajkowicz, HFSC staff physiatrist and Medical Director, and the HFSC SCI Committee This event is a comprehensive event designed for individuals with a spinal cord Injury, their families, caregivers and healthcare providers.

A spinal cord injury (SCI) is damage to any part of the spinal cord or nerves at the end of the spinal canal. This exhibition is designed to bring awareness to community resources aimed to help enhance the quality of life for those affected by spinal cord injuries. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of vendors who specialize in adaptive equipment, wheelchairs and other assistive technologies.

Hospital for Special Care encourages those living with SCI to come out and connect with others who are also living with the condition. This exhibition will provide information about valuable resources, the latest technologies and adaptive equipment. Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore a wide range of exhibits and interactive displays.
