Express Strategies, a local public relations consultancy now in its 13th year of operations, has relocated this month to the heart of Downtown Hartford. Founded by longtime communication professional Bernard Kavaler, Express Strategies provides strategic communication services including media relations, advocacy writing, content development and project management.
Recognized as one of the region’s outstanding PR firms, Express Strategies has developed expertise working with local businesses and global corporations, for-profit and nonprofit organizations, professional associations, educational institutions, and foundations.
The new office is at 190 Trumbull Street and provides convenient access for current and prospective clients, as well as ample conference room space for meetings and presentations. Express Strategies is located alongside the Lumi Hospitality agency on the third floor of the historic Brownstone building, constructed in 1861.
Earlier this year, Express Strategies published the third of its series of quick-read booklets that provide insights into public relations for businesses, nonprofits and organizations. The latest booklet, “8 Rules of Effective Communication,” follows “6 Secret Benefits of Collaboration” and “7 Ways to Boost Your PR Profile.”  All are available from Express Strategies or can be downloaded free at www.express-strategies.com. Additional booklets in the insight series are planned.

Prior to founding Express Strategies in 2012, Kavaler served as a key member of the executive staff of four of Connecticut’s constitutional officers.  His leadership positions included public service with the Offices of Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of the State and State Treasurer. He also served as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Public Affairs for the Connecticut State University System, has taught as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Hartford and University of Saint Joseph, and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Professional Speechwriters Association.
