Whittlesey manager Melissa Braun was named one of Connecticut Society of CPA’s (CTCPA) “Women to Watch.”

Melissa has over 10 years of service with the Firm, with a concentration in tax and advisory services for commercial, residential, and affordable housing real estate entities; financial institutions; construction, manufacturing, and closely held businesses; and high-net-worth individuals. She is a member of Whittlesey’s real estate niche and cofounded the real estate thought leadership niche. Melissa is also a formal coach to junior staff members, a member of CREW Network, and the past Executive Committee Member of Community Accounting Services (CAS), a nonprofit organization that provides free tax and financial counseling help to eligible individuals in Connecticut. Melissa earned her Masters in Accountancy from Bryant University and her Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Sacred Heart University.

CTCPA’s Women’s Awards recognized eight CPAs for their outstanding contributions to the state profession in two categories: Distinguished Service and Women to Watch. The winners will be honored at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, CT, on Wednesday, January 18.
