In-person guests are welcome to meet the speakers, continue the dialogue, while enjoying refreshments during the Noshing & Networking with Purpose after the program.

Why is this session important?  In today’s polarized world, the ability to connect with those who think differently is more crucial than ever. Our distinguished team of community leaders will help participants increase our understanding and build our collective skills in civil discourse.  You will have an opportunity to practice techniques in holding civil conversations with others on pre-determined topics at the tables, in virtual break out rooms, and during noshing & networking with a purpose.

His generosity and that of his family created an Endowed Fund that is used to host lectures, equitable opportunities, to engage students and the community in lifelong learning. His daughter, Jennifer shared, regarding the late Dr. Bernard D. Shea: “I do think he would approve of the topic and the role education plays in cultivating civil discourse. Knowing my dad, he would root the discussion in the classical writers. Everything went back to the Greeks!!!!!”
