Hartford’s Camp Courant Launches ‘The Pavilions’ Facility Rentals as New Social Enterprise for new Stream of Mission Funding

The nonprofit is offering its facility to be rented for any event, where all proceeds directly support the organization’s mission of providing free day camp for Hartford’s youth.

HARTFORD, Conn. (May 3, 2024) – Hartford’s Camp Courant is expanding its offerings to the surrounding communities to further boost mission funding through entrepreneurial strategy. Beginning this spring, Camp Courant is now available seven days a week, outside of camp programming hours, to be rented for any public or private event.‘The Pavilions’ at Hartford’s Camp Courant brings an event venue to the region that combines nature’s beauty with rustic chic. With a wide range of indoor space, four grand outdoor pavilions and a 36-acre enclosed campus, Camp Courant can host an event of any size, rain or shine.“Working with kids, chances are you’ll have a lesson or two about sharing, and this is a great opportunity for Camp to share this amazing space with our community,” said Corrianne Chipello, executive director & CEO of Hartford’s Camp Courant. “It has long been talked about how great a space this is, but it only gets used by our campers for seven weeks out of the year. And as we’ve continued to renovate and expand, we realized this was absolutely something we could offer.”‘The Pavilions’ targets a wide range of market segments, including corporations, individuals, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and group homes, as well as families looking to hold birthday or graduation celebrations. Camp Courant’s operational capabilities throughout the year, thanks to its versatile indoor and outdoor spaces, allows the nonprofit to offer all bookings as private events, ensuring exclusivity and privacy for those who rent the facility. Those interested in exploring the option of renting, or taking a tour of, Camp Courant are encouraged to contact Tricia Rowold at trowold@campcourant.org, or visit the event rentals page on its website, www.campcourant.org. More about Hartford’s Camp CourantCelebrating its 130th anniversary in 2024, Hartford’s Camp Courant is a youth development organization and the oldest and largest free summer day camp in the United States.
