Oak Hill Raises $190,000 in their Annual Golf Classic
Oak Hill is proud to announce that we raised over $190,000 for our programs, all thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and community partners. This event could not have been possible without them. We want to thank to our staff volunteers, 104 golfers, donated services like Blue Chip Creamery, Elm Press, and our fabulous MC, Renee DiNino! Despite the brisk weather, all golfers, sponsors, and volunteers showed up for people with disabilities. Without their support, Oak Hill could not offer the same caliber of services to adults and children with disabilities.
The 28th Annual Golf Classic was an event like no other with more individuals from our programs in attendance than ever before. We were joined by Greg, Manny, and Walter from our Davis Road group home who distributed gifts, and students Andrea and Jason from Oak Hill School who served ice cream! At Hole 1, all golfers experienced Oak Hill’s new Communication Station, a form of alternative augmentative communication (AAC) used by our program participants. A perfect end to the day, individuals from our Coventry group home joined us for dinner and enjoyed a meal with our golfers. Oak Hill strives for full community integration for the individuals we serve. Our Annual Golf Classic brings us one step closer to fulfilling that promise. We hope to see you next year on Monday, October 2nd, 2023! For more information, contact Stephanie Knightly at stephanie.knightly@oakhillct.org.
