UHart partnership to benefit Trinity Health of New England workforce
The University of Hartford has expanded its partnership with Trinity Health of New England to launch a new education alliance that will strengthen the health system’s workforce.UHart will provide professional and educational development opportunities to support THofNE’s goals of talent development, learning, and growth for employees. Both online and in-person classes will be offered to THofNE colleagues at a 10% tuition discount once they are accepted and registered, and application fees will be waived.Virtual and in-person academic and career counseling, as well as educational fairs and events, will also be a part of the program.“We are excited to enhance our partnership with Trinity Health Of New England, whose vision is closely aligned with that of our college, to improve the health and well-being of our communities,” says Cesarina Thompson, dean of UHart’s College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions.“We are grateful to UHart for partnering with us to provide our dedicated colleagues more opportunities to develop, learn, and grow in their careers," says Lisa Zapatka, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, senior vice president, regional chief nursing officer for Trinity Health Of New England. "This type of collaboration ultimately allows us to better serve our colleagues, patients, and communities."THofNE colleagues can learn more and apply to UHart programs at Hartford.edu/apply. Areas of interest may include the “RN to BSN” nursing program, Masters of Science in Nursing program, or the Doctor of Nursing Practice program, but the education alliance does apply to any and all UHart degrees and certificates. The initiative is ideal for those who may be looking to complete an undergraduate, graduate, doctoral level, or certificate program.The move strengthens UHart’s partnership with THofNE, as the health system has previously worked with University athletics and as a clinical placement location for UHart’s health care students.The University’s education alliance also has similar partnerships with other area organizations that benefit employees across a wide range of industries.For more information or to apply, visit Hartford.edu/trinity.
