Shipman & Goodwin Promotes One to Partner and Two to Counsel

January 2, 2025 | Shipman & Goodwin LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of three attorneys within the firm as of January 1, 2025:

“Jaime is a talented attorney and we look forward to her continued success at the Firm in her new role,” said Patrick Fahey, department chair of the Firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group.

Welsh’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation matters, as well as bankruptcy cases and insolvency proceedings. Appearing frequently in both state and federal court, she represents national and multinational companies in the finance, pharmaceutical, medical device, and health care industries in a wide variety of litigation matters. She also represents financial institutions, insurance companies, and trade creditors in all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings, workouts, and out-of-court restructuring. She also maintains an active pro bono practice through firm partnerships with GLBTQ Legal Advocates and Defenders, Lawyers for Children America, and the Center for Children’s Advocacy.

Boisvert represents companies in a variety of aspects of corporate and transactional law, including commercial financing and general corporate and commercial matters. Katilee represents primarily middle market clients in all aspects of mezzanine financing, secured and unsecured lending, senior and junior subordinated lending, corporate governance, and restructuring. She also provides advice on general corporate and business matters and acts as outside general counsel for a variety of companies.

A former elementary school teacher, Gleason advises a wide range of educational institutions, including K-12 public and independent schools and colleges and universities, in legal issues related to students, employees, governance, and policy. Sarah’s practice also focuses significantly on Title IX compliance in the K-12 environment, as well as for colleges and universities. Sarah regularly attends seminars on the topic of Title IX, has received ATIXA training, and has provided mandatory Title IX training to numerous clients.
