Special Holiday Corporate Engagement Opportunity Available Through The Village
Giving campaign and heartwarming events available to help inspire staff.
Hartford, Conn. The holidays are right around the corner. As many local businesses return to in-person work, The Village for Families & Children’s Holiday Giving Tree program provides the perfect opportunity for companies to engage their employees and make a difference for families in need.
By participating, companies will spread hope and holiday joy to local families, and they will be able to see the impact of their generosity. The Village offers participating companies with opportunities for further staff engagement, including tours of their historic residential campus, visits from Village staff and clients to share how the company’s support makes a difference and Lunch & Learns about services and issues impacting the community.
During the holidays many families The Village serves in Greater Hartford face the dilemma of providing their basic needs—like food or rent—or purchasing gifts for their children. The Village’s annual Holiday Giving Tree program helps alleviate families from making this difficult choice. Donors to the program help raise funds that are used to purchase gift cards to stores like Walmart and Target so families can select gifts for their children, put food on the table and truly enjoy “the most wonderful time of the year” together.
Last year, generous donors from local corporations and communities raised more than $50,000 for the Holiday Giving Tree program and ensured thousands of local children had gifts to open during the holidays.
Companies interested in participating can contact Village Senior Director of Development Sarah Adanti at sadanti@thevillage.org or (860) 297-0545. Learn about the Holiday Giving Tree program at thevillage.org/holiday.
