Hartford Foundation Awards $175,000 in Grants to Support Housing Policy and Advocacy Efforts
In its effort to make affordable, stable and higher quality housing more accessible to low-income residents of color or residents encountering housing barriers, the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving offered a competitive grant opportunity focused on supporting housing policy and advocacy activities. The Foundation has awarded seven $25,000 grants to support a broad range of state and local public policy and advocacy work. This marks the first time that the Foundation has offered its support for legislative advocacy by nonprofits and community members.

Hands On Hartford has received a three-year, $600,000 grant from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving to support the implementation of key aspects of the agency’s strategic plan. “The Hartford Foundation’s support and confidence in our work is a huge boost to us all, and we are very excited about plans for moving our mission forward and deepening our impact over the coming three years.
