Eversource Hartford Marathon & Half Marathon to be Supported by Eversource through 2028
$9.5+ million fundraised to date, with 2025 Official Charity program applications open
February 28, 2025 - East Hartford – The Hartford Marathon Foundation recognizes the longtime partnership of Eversource in continuing through 2028 as the title sponsor of Connecticut’s premier marathon event, a role the company has held since 2014. The race weekend tradition has provided a platform for charities to raise funds and awareness for important community causes, with more than $9.5 million raised through the event by Official Charities over the years. The application period is open now for non-profit organizations to be considered for the 2025 Official Charity program.
Rallying participants from across the country and contributing to the local economy since its inception in 1994, the Eversource Hartford Marathon contributed approximately $12 million worth of economic value to the area in October 2024. Eversource Hartford Marathon, Half Marathon, Team 26.2 Relay and Charity 5K races hosted more than 10,000 participants and volunteers, together with tens of thousands of spectators that enjoyed race festivities, regional lodging and local shopping and dining through the weekend.

Eversource annually contributes hundreds of engaged employees and family members in a multitude of volunteer support services. Additionally, more than 200 employees and their families historically lace up to run and walk in race day events.
