Joined by Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin, David W. Glidden, President & CEO of Liberty Bank, and Liberty Bank’s Greater Hartford Commercial Banking Team, today officially cut the ribbon to the their new commercial loan production office at 100 Pearl Street in Hartford.

The Hartford-based commercial bankers relocated its operations on the 3rd floor of 100 Pearl Street to a larger, more modern and customer friendly space on the building’s 13th floor. The expanded team, growth of their lending business and the desire to have more presence in the City’s central business district led to the Bank deciding to move from 2,170 square feet to 6,690 square feet in office space.

The Greater Hartford Commercial Lending Team is led by Stephen Roche, Market President and Regional Manager Commercial Banking. The downtown Hartford-based team is an integral part of Liberty’s I-91 corridor commercial lending strategy from New Haven to Hartford to Western Massachusetts.

The new space has a total of 11 offices; five cubical workstations; a large conference room and small collaboration room; wellness room; reception area; and a large breakout area that includes kitchen appliances; ample space for after hour events and presentations; and employee collaboration space. Liberty expanded the number of commercial banking teammates based in downtown Hartford from three in 2021 to 13 today.

“The ribbon cutting at our new Pearl Street offices is a testament to the hard work of our Greater Hartford commercial banking team, our commitment to having a steady, accessible and first-class regional presence for our customers and our priority to expand our geographic footprint in Hartford’s Central Business District,” said Roche. “We are proud that Liberty is a catalyst in the post-COVID momentum in the downtown area.”

“What Steve and his talented team of bankers have done in such a short period of time in the Greater Hartford market has been remarkable,” said David W. Glidden, President & CEO of Liberty Bank. “They have been an important piece of our forward-looking plan when it comes to our I-91 corridor strategy that extends from New Haven to Hartford to Massachusetts. Expanding our space in downtown Hartford is not only a sign of the success of our teammates and our commitment to our customers but it underscores our allegiance to our Capital City.”
