Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Hartford will have UConn men’s basketball coach Dan Hurley as the keynote speaker at its Help & Hope Breakfast on Friday, Nov. 17.

The event, which will be at the Hartford Golf Club in West Hartford, is the human service agency’s signature fundraising event of the year and proceeds will support its programs and services offered throughout Hartford, New Haven, and Litchfield counties.

“We can’t thank Coach Hurley enough for supporting our mission,” Catholic Charities CEO Marek Kukulka said. “He and his family are shining examples of dedication and commitment that we feel perfectly illustrate the theme of this year’s fundraiser, which is fatherhood.”

WTNH news anchor Dennis House will be the emcee and handling auctioneer duties will be Conor Geary, the on-field and on-court host at Hartford Yard Goats and UConn games. The event is 7:30-9 a.m. and includes an auction, breakfast and networking time. There will also be a Help & Hope @ Home online auction that opens Nov. 13 for two weeks.

The event’s presenting sponsor is Whittlesey, an accounting, advisory, and technology firm. For more information, including sponsorship opportunities, visit www.ccaoh.org/hope.
