May 08, 2024 | The “Hartford HealthCare at Walgreens” is advancing a unique retail health model, a collaboration based on convenience, access to care, affordability and health equity. The Hartford HealthCare at Walgreens operated by Hartford HealthCare medical providers, offers access to primary care, screenings, vaccinations, confidential telehealth services and more, seven days per week by appointment or walk-in.
The health clinics will combine in-person care of a Hartford HealthCare medical assistant with a virtual Hartford HealthCare provider. With high-tech, diagnostic tools the clinician has an accurate, real-time view of a patient’s vitals enabling more immediate feedback on diagnosis and treatment options.
Hartford HealthCare and Walgreens have opened 3 of 5 health clinics at select Walgreens locations in Connecticut.
