Hartford Public Library wins Read For The Record award!

Drum Line at Kennelly School in Hartford for Read For The Record

At Kennelly School in Hartford the energy was unmatched as a drum line welcomed volunteer readers including HPL President and CEO Bridget E. Quinn, Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin and Hartford Superintendent of Schools Leslie Torres-Rodriguez for the Read for the Record event.

Hartford Public Library, Hartford Public Schools and the United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut were recently selected as having the Best Community Celebration during Jumpstart’s fall 2021 Read for the Record Event!

 

The early education organization invited volunteers across the country to read Amy Wu and the Patchwork Dragon to children in their communities. More than two million readers participated across the country!
