Melissa Grosso has been named the new Director of the Middletown Export Assistance Center, part of the US Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration. In this role, she will lead the office’s outreach efforts to Connecticut exporters as well as to key government and private sector partners. Melissa has been with the organization since 2004, proudly serving Connecticut’s business community. During her time with Commerce, she has played a critical role in executing dozens of key programs and events for Connecticut businesses, including trade missions, export conferences, and internationally attended trade summits in Connecticut. She has represented the Department at programs across the US and internationally, particularly in the aerospace/defense and healthcare technologies sectors. Her understanding of Connecticut’s business needs as well as her diplomacy skills and relationship-building abilities will serve the office and business community well.
