The Connecticut Forum Announces World-renowned Cellist, Humanitarian Yo-Yo Ma Live at The Bushnell
After presenting its signature Forum events virtually for the past year, The Connecticut Forum will celebrate its return to live theater at The Bushnell with An Evening With Yo-Yo Ma on November 9, 2021.
In this rare public conversation and special appearance in Hartford by Yo-Yo Ma, the world-renowned cellist, performer, and humanitarian will draw on examples from his own life to explore how culture connects us and can help us to imagine and build a better future.
His presentation is rooted in the belief that at a moment when our world is challenged by the pace of change and the divisions it can create, the values that culture promotes — truth, trust, and service — are essential to our survival.
A moderator for this discussion will be announced shortly.
“I can’t imagine a better way to celebrate our return to The Bushnell than this special evening with Yo-Yo Ma,” said Ruth Cullen, incoming Executive Director of The Connecticut Forum. “Our community will delight in his inspiring music and messages about the power of culture to reinforce our humanity and connect us all.”
An Evening with Yo-Yo Ma, previously scheduled for May 6, 2021 as part of The CT Forum’s 2020-2021 Season, was postponed due to covid-19 restrictions. Current 2020-2021 CT Forum season sponsors and subscribers already have tickets to this event. Any remaining tickets will be available for sale on June 8, 2021.
For tickets, visit ctforum.org or call 860.509.0909. Ticket prices range from $25 – $125.
The Connecticut Forum’s new 30th Anniversary Season will be announced in July 2021. The 2021-2022 CT Forum Season will run from late 2021 through May 2022 and feature four signature Forum events presented live at The Bushnell and via livestream.
