YWCA Hartford Region Celebrates 25 Years of Inspiration with Women’s Rights Advocate Cecile Richards
YWCA Hartford Region will host its signature fundraising event, In the Virtual Company of Women: 25 Years of Inspiration on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. This year, the event will be held online to bring business, community, and nonprofit leaders together to support YWCA programs that benefit more than 2,000 women, girls, and families throughout the Greater Hartford community.
The event will feature an inspiring conversation with special guest, Cecile Richards. Cecile Richards is a national leader for women’s rights and social and economic justice, and a co-founder of Supermajority — a new organization fighting for gender equity. She is the author of The New York Times bestseller, Make Trouble: Standing Up, Speaking Out, and Finding the Courage to Lead.
Together, We’re Unlimited is the theme to promote the collective power a community has to change the world and ensure racial, social and gender equity prevail.
